Coast Guard helicopter crew medevacs 1 near Beach Haven, N.J.

BEACH HAVEN, N.J. – The Coast Guard medevaced a 22-year-old male 110 miles east of Beach Haven, N.J., Sunday.

The Coast Guard received a call at 7:21 a.m. from a crew member aboard the Captain Bob reporting a crew member cut his arm below the elbow.

A rescue helicopter crew from Coast Guard Air Station Atlantic City, N.J., arrived on scene and hoisted the man aboard the helicopter and transported the man to the air station. The man was transferred to awaiting emergency medical personnel and transported to AtlantiCare Regionl Medical Center Mainland Campus in Pomona, N.J., for treatment.
