Coast Guard Haunted House in Eureka falls to budget constraints

Coast Guard District 11 NewsMCKINLEYVILLE, Calif. — There won’t be a spooky event at the Coast Guard Haunted House for this year’s Halloween festivities in Eureka.

Due to budgetary constraints, Humboldt Bay-based Coast Guard organizers are unable to host the popular community event this year or in the foreseeable future. In years past, Coast Guard crews transformed the Coast Guard Barn into a house of ghosts and goblins and other spooky creatures making this one of the more popular Halloween events on the Redwood Coast.

The Coast Guard thanks the communities on the Redwood Coast for their support and wishes everyone to have a safe and Happy Halloween.
