Coast Guard, good Samaritan respond to 4 people in water near Grays Harbor, Wash.

SEATTLE — The Coast Guard and a good Samaritan responded to a mayday call with four people in the water approximately 12 miles west of Grays Harbor, Wash., Monday morning.

A good Samaritan relayed information to Coast Guard Sector Columbia River watchstanders that the four people were wearing life jackets and were subsequently taken onboard the good Samaritan vessel Carmelita.

Sector watchstanders have dispatched personnel and assets from Coast Guard Station Grays Harbor to assist.

The case is ongoing.
