MIAMI — The Coast Guard rescued a missing boater approximately 25 miles east of Miami Beach, Saturday.
Rescued was Eugene Russell, 50, who was located by a Coast Guard Air Station Clearwater HC-130 Hercules airplane crew who vectored the Coast Guard Cutter Richard Etheridge crew to Russell’s location.
The rescue crews arrived on scene with Russell at approximately 8:30 p.m. Saturday. The cutter crew embarked Russell with no reported injuries and took him to Fort Lauderdale where he was met by his wife.
