SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico — The Coast Guard has established an Incident Command Post for Hurricane Irma response in San Juan, Wednesday.
Coast Guard Aids to Navigation Team San Juan, Coast Guard Air Station Borinquen and Coast Guard Sector San Juan crews have pre-staged assets to be prepared for response efforts after Irma passes.
“Our primary concern is the safety of our members and the local community,” said Capt. Francisco Rego, deputy commander, Sector San Juan. “We have assets and personnel standing by to assist anyone in distress as soon as it is practical and safe to do so following the passing of Hurricane Irma.”
