NEW ORLEANS – The Coast Guard ended the search for a person in the water near Perdido Bay, Alabama, Monday.
Coast Guard Sector Mobile received a report from a Coast Guard Air Station New Orleans MH-65 Dolphin helicopter aircrew that they had located a body in Perdido Bay.
Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission was on scene and recovered the body and transferred it to shore where they were met by local EMS.
The Coast Guard searched approximately 52 square nautical miles for approximately seven hours.
The cause of the incident is under investigation.
