Coast Guard ends search for missing man at Euclid Beach Park

Great Lakes Coast Guard NewsCLEVELAND — Coast Guard crews ended their search Tuesday night for a missing man, last seen at Euclid Beach Park in Cleveland, Tuesday night.

The Coast Guard ended the search at 10:30 p.m., after the Cleveland Recovery Dive Team recovered the body of the missing man.

A search-and-rescue coordinator at Coast Guard Sector Buffalo received notification at 9 p.m. from Cleveland 911 dispatch of a 19-year-old man, who was last seen in the water at Euclid Beach Park, Tuesday night.

A rescue boatcrew launched aboard a 45-foot Response Boat-Medium from Coast Guard Station Cleveland Harbor, and a rescue aircrew launched aboard a Coast Guard Air Station Detroit MH-65C Dolphin rescue helicopter to assist.

Also participating in the search were rescue crews from Ohio Department of Natural Resources, and Cleveland Police and Fire departments.

The man’s next of kin was notified by the Cleveland Fire Department
