MOBILE, Ala. — The Coast Guard has ended the search for a 40-year-old man who went missing from a capsized pleasure craft in the vicinity of Panama City, Fla., Friday.
Coast Guard Sector Mobile watchstanders received a call from a crewmember aboard the motor vessel Margaret early Friday, that a pleasure boat in East Bay had capsized. One of the two people were rescued by the Margaret’s crew. Local authorities assisting in the search found the other missing boater.
The Coast Guard searched with the following units:
* The 87-foot Coast Guard Cutter Bonito and crew, homeported in Pensacola, Fla.
* Two 25-foot small boats and crews from Coast Guard Station Panama City
* An MH-65C Dolphin rescue helicopter and crew from Aviation Training Center Mobile, Ala.
