PORTSMOUTH, Va. — The Portsmouth-based Coast Guard Cutter Legare is scheduled to hold a change of command ceremony at Base Portsmouth Thursday at 10 a.m.
Vice Adm. William “Dean” Lee, Coast Guard Atlantic Area commander, will preside over the ceremony where Cmdr. Todd Vance will assume the duties and responsibilities as commanding officer of the Legare from Cmdr. Kevin King.
Upon relief of command, King will report to the Coast Guard First District to assume duties as deputy chief of incident management.
