FORT MEYERS, Fla – Coast Guard Cutter Forward crews delivered supplies Thursday in areas affected by Hurricane Irma.

Crews transported more than 2500 lbs of food, water, medical and other aid that will be distributed to affected areas.

The Forward crew has assisted with humanitarian aid, provided search and rescue coverage, and provided a law enforcement presence.

Forward is a 270-foot Medium Endurance Cutter homeported in Portsmouth, Virginia.
