The Coast Guard Cutter Dauntless, a 210 foot medium endurance cutter, will return to its homeport of Galveston, Texas on Tuesday after being deployed since November.

Dauntless and her crew will be returning to Galveston after being away from family and loved ones over the Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday. Their return marks the end of a rigorous patrol in support of the Coast Guard’s law enforcement missions, and drug and undocumented migrant interdiction.

“We hit some exceptionally rough seas this patrol, but we were able to successfully complete the missions set before us,” said Cmdr. James Andrews, commanding officer of the Coast Guard Cutter Dauntless. “We are excited to see our families and look forward to celebrating the New Year with our loved ones back in Texas,” said Andrews.
