Coast Guard Cutter Confidence Returns to Port Canaveral After 28 Day Patrol

PORT CANAVERAL, Fla. – The crew of the 210-foot Coast Guard Cutter Confidence will return to homeport Wednesday at 8 a.m. at Port Canaveral concluding a 28-day deployment in the northern Caribbean Sea.

The crew of the Confidence departed Port Canaveral December 30, 2010, to conduct homeland security and law enforcement missions. While underway, the crew of the Confidence conducted operations with a helicopter air crew from Coast Guard Air Station Detroit, Mich.

The Confidence crew primarily conducts counter-drug and alien migrant interdiction patrols.
