Coast Guard crews suspend search for missing swimmer

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ (D5 Public Affairs) – The Coast Guard suspended its search today for a missing 28-year-old man who disappeared Saturday while swimming with two friends about 100 yards off the coast of Wildwood, N.J., near Schellenger Avenue and Waterfront.

Missing is Juan Moore.

The Coast Guard suspended its search at 7:01 a.m.

The other two swimmers were recovered by friends and local rescue crews. One swimmer was given cardiopulmonary resuscitation by rescuers, but was later pronounced deceased, the other is reported in good condition.

A rescue boat crew from Coast Guard Station Cape May, N.J., rescue helicopter crews from Coast Guard Air Station Atlantic City, members of the Wildwood Police Department and the Wildwood Beach Patrol searched for Moore.
