Coast Guard crews searching for disabled jet ski

Hawaii-Pacific Coast Guard NewsHONOLULU — Coast Guard crews are searching for a possible disabled jet ski with two people aboard in the vicinity of Chinaman’s Hat, on the North Side of Kaneohe Bay, Oahu, Wednesday.

At approximately 6:30 p.m. a Marine Corps Base Hawaii helicopter reported spotting two individuals on a jet ski waving at the helicopter. A waterfront security vessel from Marine Corps Base Hawaii was dispatched to the reported location and found no signs of distress or a disabled jet ski.

An MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew from Coast Guard Air Station Barbers Point is currently enroute to search the area.
