Coast Guard crews participate in opening ceremonies of Port Everglades Fleet Week

MIAMI — The 2018 Port Everglades Fleet Week began with Coast Guard cutters and U.S. Navy ships pulling into Port Everglades Monday.

After, the servicemembers were honored at a Fleet Week Welcoming Party held in Fort Lauderdale.

The Port Everglades Fleet Week is an annual event where Coast Guard and Navy servicemembers are honored for their service by the local community.
