Coast Guard crew rescues 2 in Delaware River

PHILADELPHIA – The Coast Guard rescued two people aboard a disabled 19-foot boat Thursday in the Delaware River near the Tacony-Palmyra Bridge.

The Coast Guard received a call at 6:49 p.m. from a crewmember aboard the boat reporting the boat’s batteries were dead.

A rescue boat crew from Coast Guard Station Philadelphia arrived on scene and took the boat and its crew in tow and moored them safely at Frankfurt Public Boat Ramp near Philadelphia.
