BARNEGAT LIGHT, N.J. – The Coast Guard medevaced a 58-year-old male Friday 14 miles east of Barnegat Light, N.J., after he suffered from a diabetic seizure.
Rescued was Mike Wash.
The Coast Guard received a call at 8:29 p.m. from a crew member aboard the Southern Passage reporting when they tried to wake Wash he was unresponsive, had shallow breathing, a weak pulse and clammy hands.
A rescue helicopter crew from Coast Guard Air Station Atlantic City, N.J., and a rescue boat crew from Coast Guard Station Barnegat Light arrived on scene and transported Wash to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City.
The condition of Wash is unknown.
