Coast Guard continues search for man near Indian River Inlet, Del

INDIAN RIVER, Del. – The Coast Guard is searching for a man Friday after a Good Samaritan rescued five people Thursday when the 18-foot boat they were aboard capsized five miles east of Indian River Inlet here.

Missing is Bruce Weaver from Hershey, Pa.

Rescued was Adam Kreiser, 58, from Lebanon, Pa., Robert Kreiser, 37, from Jonestown, Pa., Thomas Kreiser Jr., 25, from Jonestown, Pa., Thomas Kreiser Sr., 49, from Jonestown, Pa., and Paul Barrik Jr., 43, from Hershey, Pa.

The Coast Guard received a call from the Good Samaritan at 5:50 p.m. reporting he located a capsized boat with five people in the water and could not find the last person.

A rescue boat crew from Station Indian River, a helicopter rescue crew from Coast Guard Air Station Atlantic City, N.J., a rescue boat crew from Coast Guard Station Cape May, N.J., the crew of the Coast Guard Cutter Ibis and the Delaware State Police are searching for Weaver.

Weaver is reported to be wearing a life jacket.
