Coast Guard continues Narragansett Bay search

The Coast Guard is continuing its search Mon., Aug. 30, 2010, for the 25-year old man who fell into the water in Narragansett Bay, R.I., Sun., Aug. 29, 2010.

The Coast Guard Cutter Chinook from New London, Conn., remained on scene throughout the night searching for the Massachusetts man.

The Chinook crew, a Coast Guard Station Castle Hill 45-foot boat crew and a Falcon Jet crew from Air Station Cape Cod are currently on scene actively searching.

The Coast Guard Cutter Tiger Shark and a 47-foot boat crew from Coast Guard Station Point Judith were slated to begin searching around 8 a.m.

The Coast Guard began the search after receiving a report from 911 that four people had fallen into the water off rocks in Narragansett Bay. Three of the people were rescued, two of which were transported to a local hospital.
