CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – Coast Guard Sector Corpus Christi will be hosting “OPERATION: Fill the Boat” on Saturday, December 1, 2007 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Wal-Mart in Portland, TX.
The Coast Guard will be collecting new unwrapped toys for distribution to children in the Portland and Corpus Christi area through the Wishes and Dreams Foundation. Canned food and other non-perishable food items will also be collected for distribution to the Food Bank of Corpus Christi.
Contributions from the local community are appreciated in helping the Coast Guard make this a joyous holiday season. Happy Holidays!
