NEW ORLEANS – The Coast Guard has closed portions of the Mississippi River, due to high winds, Tuesday.
Portions currently closed are:
Mile marker 481.4, near Fort Madison, Iowa;
Mile marker 481.4, near Rock Island, Ill;
Mile marker 518, near Clinton, Iowa;
Mile marker 535, near Savanna, Ill;
Mile marker 579.9, near Dubuque, Iowa;
Also, an Urgent Marine Information Broadcast was issued to mariners in the areas.
