Coast Guard Auxiliary National Training Conference Scheduled

Coast Guard Auxiliary National Training ConferenceST. LOUIS – The Coast Guard Auxiliary National Training Conference (NTRAIN) is scheduled for January 22-30, 2011 at the Sheraton Westport Lakeside Chalet Hotel. This year’s theme will be “Dependability, Integrity, Diversity” – the watchwords of new Auxiliary National Commodore Jim Vass.

NTRAIN is held each year toward the end of January in the St. Louis area, home to the Coast Guard Auxiliary Association, Inc. – a non-profit organization that provides business management and training support for the Coast Guard Auxiliary. NTRAIN offers a variety of training opportunities for selected district staff officers and national leadership.

“Each year, we invite a select group of Auxiliary personnel to attend NTRAIN to receive additional training,” said Ernie Davenport, National Conference Director for the Coast Guard Auxiliary. “NTRAIN provides an excellent forum for education and discussion in targeted program areas.”
