KEY WEST — The Coast Guard assisted a 45-year-old woman reportedly suffering from chest pains while snorkeling Wednesday near Sombrero Reef. Rescued was Amanda Clark, 45.
Coast Guard Sector Key West watchstanders received a notification from the dive vessel, Spirit, over VHF-FM radio channel 16 stating Clark was suffering from chest pains and was in need of assistance.
A 33-foot Special Purpose Craft—Law Enforcement boat crew from Coast Guard Station Marathon arrived on scene, and transported Clark to Burdines Waterfront for further medical assistance.
