Coast Guard assists disabled vessel 45 miles NW of Delacroix Island

America's Heartland Coast Guard NewsNEW ORLEANS, La. – A Coast Guard Air Station New Orleans Helicopter crew assisted two people aboard a disabled vessel approximately 45 miles northwest of Delacroix Island, La. Thursday.

The operator of the vessel contacted Coast 8th District watchstanders at approximately 5:30 p.m. reporting their vessel was disabled and in need of assistance.

Coast Guard Air Station New Orleans dispatched a MH-65 Dolphin Helicopter crew to hoisted the mariners aboard the vessel.

There were no reported injuries.
