HOUSTON — The Coast Guard assisted three mariners after their vessel became disabled approximately five miles offshore of Freeport, Texas, Sunday.

Coast Guard Sector Houston-Galveston watchstanders were notified of a disabled 23-foot pleasure craft with two crewmembers experiencing symptoms of seasickness onboard. Watchstanders issued a marine assistance request broadcast.

A Coast Guard Station Freeport boat crew was diverted to the scene and towed the disabled vessel to Coast Guard Station Freeport.

Weather on scene was reported as 2-foot seas with 10 mph winds.
