Coast Guard assisting with search for missing diver in West Seattle

13th Coast Guard District NewsSEATTLE — The Coast Guard, Seattle Fire and Seattle Police Departments are searching for a missing diver near West Seattle’s Sea Crest Marina, Sunday.

The Coast Guard, and Seattle Police and Fire was notified by 911 dispatch after four people were diving and only three ascended. One of the divers yelled for people on shore to call 911. The missing diver is a male, in his 20’s, and he was wearing a black dry suit.

A Coast Guard Station Seattle 25-foot Response Boat-Medium and an MH-65C Dolphin Helicopter from Coast Guard Air Station Port Angeles, Wash., joined Seattle Harbor Patrol and the Seattle Fire Boat Leschi in the search. Dive teams from Seattle Fire and Seattle Police Depts. are on scene.
