BALTIMORE – The Coast Guard and University of Maryland University College hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony Tuesday to mark the opening of a new National Testing Center in Elkridge, Md., for Coast Guard members in the Baltimore area.
This NTC houses 30 computers for members to use on a walk-in basis to take their College-Level Examination Program or DANTES subject standardized tests with results typically provided upon test completion.
“It’s a unique partnership with academia to improve opportunities for Coast Guard members trying to pursue and further their educational goals,” said Coast Guard Cmdr. Brian Roche, deputy commander of Coast Guard Sector Baltimore.
