ABSECON, N.J. – The Coast Guard is searching for a man in a blue kayak who is overdue in the Absecon Bay near Absecon Friday.
Overdue is Kevin Shoal of Absecon.
The Coast Guard received a call at 8:30 p.m. from a member of Sea Tow Atlantic City reporting Shoal was kayaking in the Absecon Bay and departed from the Absecon Sportsman Club in Absecon at 6:30 p.m.
A rescue helicopter crew from Coast Guard Air Station Altantic City, a rescue boat crew from Coast Guard Station Atlantic City and Sea Tow Atlantic City are currently on scene searching.
