Coast Guard and North Carolina Agencies Establish Unified Command to Clean Beaches

PORTSMOUTH, Va. – The Coast Guard has received numerous reports of Styrofoam packing materials washing up along the coastline from Cape Lookout to Oregon Inlet, N.C.

Coast Guard authorities along with various state and local agencies have established a Unified Command to plan the cleanup of Styrofoam littering 120-miles of North Carolina beaches.
