SAN FRANCISCO, Calf. – The Coast Guard has authorized the COSCO BUSAN to shift from the shipyard where it has been undergoing repairs, to anchorage within San Francisco Bay. Required temporary repairs to the vessel have been completed and the vessel and crew have been verified safe to sail.
The ship is not allowed to depart San Francisco due to the customs hold. The customs hold remains in place during the continuing investigations and negotiations regarding criminal and civil liabilities.
