Coast Guard Airlifts man from fishing vessel

SEATTLE – A Coast Guard HH-60 Jayhawk helicopter crew hoisted a man from a fishing vessel located off the coast of Tillamook Bay, Ore., today.

Coast Guard Group Astoria received a call reporting that a man aboard the fishing vessel Capt. Armstrong was in need of medical attention.

The helicopter crew transported the man to Coast Guard Station Tillamook Bay, Ore., where local emergency personnel were waiting to transport the victim to Tillamook Bay General Hospital, Ore.

Hospital officials reported that the man was treated and released.
