SEATTLE – The Coast Guard airlifted a 45-year old man who was suffering from a medical condition on board a charter vessel 17-miles from Quillayute River, Wash., Saturday.
The Coast Guard received a call at 7:22 a.m. from personnel on board a charter vessel requesting assistance for a man suffering from a medical condition.
Coast Guard Station Quillayute River launched a 47-foot motor lifeboat crew to escort the the charter vessel back to Quillayute River.
A Coast Guard MH-65C Dolphin helicopter crew from Air Station Port Angeles, Wash., launched to airlift the man and transport him back to Port Angeles where he was then transferred to Airlift Northwest.
