Coast Guard aircrew medevacs 1 near Atlantic City, N.J.

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. – The Coast Guard medevaced a 45-year-old man from aboard a 93-foot boat 54 miles off the coast of Atlantic City Friday.

The Coast Guard received a call at 12:20 p.m. from a crewmember aboard the Bountiful II, homeported in Fairhaven, Mass., reporting one of the crewman has a leg injury.

A rescue helicopter crew from Coast Guard Air Station Atlantic City arrived on scene and hoisted the man aboard their helicopter.

The man was transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City for treatment.

He is reported to have a Tibia and Fibula fracture.
