Coast Guard Air Station Elizabeth City to honor fallen flight crew from CG-6535

Mid Atlantic Coast Guard NewsPORTSMOUTH, Va. — The Coast Guard is scheduled to honor the crew of Coast Guard 6535 during a ceremony at Coast Guard Air Station Elizabeth City, N.C., Friday.

On Feb. 28, 2012, a Coast Guard MH-65 Dolphin helicopter went down in Mobile Bay, Ala., during a training flight, which claimed the lives of Lt. Cmdr. Dale Taylor, Lt. j.g. Thomas Cameron, Chief Petty Officer Fernando Jorge and Petty Officer 3rd Class Andrew Knight.

The ceremony will unveil the addition of the crew’s names to the U.S. Coast Guard Aviation Memorial.
