Coast Guard Academy Cadets Have ‘Domestic Dispute’ Outside Strip Club

Groton, CT – TheDay.com reports that the two Coast Guard Academy cadets that were arrested early Sunday morning have been released and will not be prosecuted.

The cadets, Leanna Minton and Keenan Prather were arrested around 3:30 am after they had a “domestic dispute” in the parking lot of a Groton strip club.  Minton had been charged with assault and breach of peace while Prather was charged  with breach of peace.

The couple were released after prosecutor Peter A. McShane said the state would not be prosecuting the case.

A Coast Guard spokesman said the cadets have not been suspended or expelled and that the Coast Guard would conduct an internal investigation of the incident.

Editors Note: The Coast Guard’s Core Values are Honor, Respect, Devotion to Duty.  It appears that an additional class on Honor might be required for the cadets.  The following is taken from the Academy website: Honor – Integrity is our standard. We demonstrate uncompromising ethical conduct and moral behavior in all our personal actions.  I question how two cadets having a domestic dispute in a strip club parking lot demonstartes uncompromising ethical conduct and moral behavior.
