Coast Gaurd, Mobile County EMS team up to transport injured cruise passenger

MOBILE, Ala. – The Coast Guard along with a team of Mobile County EMS, transported an injured female passenger from aboard the cruise ship Holiday in the Mobile Ship Channel, early this morning, near Dauphin Island, Ala.

Coast Guard Sector Mobile received a call at approximately 12:40 a.m., from the captain of the Holiday reporting that a female passenger needed immediate medical attention due to a fall and stated that she had possible head trauma.

Sector Mobile launched a 41-foot rescue boat and crew from Station Dauphin Island and was accompanied by local EMS to assist. The passenger was then transported to the Mobile Infirmary Medical Center.

Her condition is unknown.
