The first weekend of March was a busy one for local U.S. Coast Guard crews.

“It seems like summer’s starting,” said Mark Dobney, civilian search and rescue controller at Coast Guard Group Astoria today.

A man’s truck showed up Saturday in the surf off Ocean Shores, Wash., after he lost track of it on a foggy beach earlier that day.
