The Coast Guard has called off its search for a boat that was reported to be taking on water off Springmaid Pier in Myrtle Beach, Thursday night.
The Coast Guard’s Investigative Service has already started an investigation, trying to find whomever it was who made the distress call Thursday night. And if they find that person, he or she is in a world of trouble. Thursday night around 10:30,. a mayday call came in to the Coast Guard office in Georgetown on an emergency radio channel.
