VANCOUVER, Wash. (AP) — Ship renovators are looking for a dry dock to repair an 80-year-old Coast Guard cutter that received damage to its hull when it was untied from its moorings.

The ship Alert had been docked at the Thunderbird Hotel on Hayden Island when someone untied the cutter and set it adrift. A 1944 troop landing vessel was also released.

It’s unclear who cut the ships loose.
