Carrabelle Coast Guard Rescues Fleeing Cubans

Good article by Lois Swoboda of The Times – Apalachicola & Carrabelle about the recent trip to Key West by the Cutter Seahawk for migrant interdiction.

The Coast Guard cutter, Seahawk, which is regularly stationed in Carrabelle, is one of a pool of boats that occasionally travel to Key West to aid the cutters stationed there.

Sept. 1, the Seahawk and her crew traveled south and, for two weeks, they patrolled the Straits of Florida between Key West and Cuba.
