Captains’ Tree Goes From Wayne, New Jersey to Wayne County, Michigan

CLEVELAND – U.S. Coast Guard Reserve Capt. Dan Croce and his family will beam with pride on Friday evening when the tree they provided will be illuminated during the Holiday Party in the Park ceremony at Campus Martius Park in Detroit.

The approximately 60 foot, 47-year-old Norwegian Spruce was cut and removed from Capt. Croce’s property in Wayne, N.J., on Oct. 31, and transported to the Motor City in Wayne County, Mich., approximately 470 miles to the Northwest.
