Bremerton ferry strikes mooring dock

SEATTLE – The Coast Guard and Washington State Ferries are investigating a ferry after it struck its mooring dock at the Bremerton, Wash., ferry terminal.

The state ferry Yakima was concluding its final run when it struck the mooring dock at 1:50 a.m. today.

Coast Guard inspectors are investigating the extent of damages while contract divers plan to inspect for underwater damage to the hull.

No passengers were reported injured.
