PORTSMOUTH, Va. — Coast Guard personnel celebrated winning an award and commemorated the clinic’s 25th anniversary during a ceremony on Base Elizabeth City, North Carolina, Friday.
The Stephen C. Pugh Memorial Clinic was awarded the 2016 Health Care Facility of the Year award, which is presented to the Coast Guard’s most outstanding clinic each year.
The clinic staff also received the award in 2013.
“I am very proud of the clinic staff,” said Chief Petty Officer Luis Muniz, supervisor of the Stephen C. Pugh Memorial Clinic. “The crew worked very hard to win this award.”
