American Airlines has extended its discounts for military personnel. The airline says discounted airfares and preferred boarding privileges will continue until July 31, 2008.
Dan Garton, American’s Executive Vice-President of Marketing, said it was important the airline recognized military personnel, with members of the U.S. Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marines, Navy, National Guard and Reserves who are on leave or furlough all eligible.
He said: “All of us at American Airlines appreciate the efforts of U.S. military personnel to keep our country safe and secure, and we acknowledge the difficult sacrifices they and their family members make on our behalf.”
“We’re delighted to extend these special offers to our troops and their families and look forward to having them fly with us soon.”
Spouses and dependent children also qualify for the special military fares, which include domestic and international destinations.
