Alaska Regional Response Team to host public meeting in Valdez, Alaska

JUNEAU, Alaska — The Alaska Regional Response Team will be holding its next regular meeting at the Valdez Council chambers, from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Tuesday.

The public is invited to attend either in person or telephonically and a public comment period is scheduled. Those wishing to comment must sign-up during the meeting. An agenda, contact information and dial in number for the meeting can be located on the ARRT website at

The ARRT is an interagency, intergovernmental coordinating group consisting of representatives of 14 federal agencies and the State of Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation responsible for developing and maintaining policies for preparedness and response to discharges of oil and releases of other hazardous substances in Alaska and surrounding waters. The ARRT also has a supporting role in responding to such releases.
