The helicopter crew launched from the deck of the Sherman at 10:52 p.m. and safely transferred the patient from the medical clinic to awaiting Life Flight medical personnel at 3:43 a.m. in Cold Bay. Life Flight then was able to safely transport the women to Anchorage for further medical treatment.

Dolphin helicopter crews are forward-deployed from Kodiak with Coast Guard cutters throughout Alaska’s waters to reduce response times to emergencies.
