PHILADELPHIA – Petty Officer 1st Class Anthony J. Matulonis (left) takes an oath of enlistment, administered by his supervisor, Lt. Bill McKinstry, in front of the statue of movie character Rocky Balboa that stands adjacent to the Philadelphia Art Museum.
Matulonis, 28, originally from Baltimore, currently serves as a marine science technician at Coast Guard Sector Delaware Bay in Philadelphia. An avid runner, Matulonis has often participated in athletic events located near the local landmark.
