HOUSTON – The Coast Guard medevaced a 61-year-old female from the cruise ship Voyager of the Seas, 101 nautical miles southeast of Galveston earlyl this morning.
Watchstanders at Sector Houston-Galveston received a call at approximately 11 p.m., Sunday from a crewmember on board the cruise ship reporting a passenger had reportedly injured her foot.
The Coast Guard launched an Air Station Houston MH-65 rescue helicopter crew to medevac the woman. A Corpus Christi HU-25 Falcon jet crew was also launched to assist with the medevac.
The rescue helicopter crew medevaced the woman to Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston where her condition is unknown.
