WILMINGTON, N.C. — The Coast Guard rescued three men Thursday after their vessel became disabled approximately 40 miles southeast of Oregon Inlet.
Coast Guard Sector North Carolina watchstanders received notification at approximately 10 a.m. that the 28-foot pleasure craft Great Lady became disabled with three men aboard.
Coast Guard Air Station Elizabeth City diverted a C-130 aircraft crew and Coast Guard Station Oregon Inlet launched a 47-foot Motor Life Boat crew to assist. The boat crew took the disabled vessel into tow at approximately 6 p.m. The vessel moored at approximately midnight at Oregon Inlet Boat Ramp in Oregon Inlet.
No injuries or pollution were reported.
