Capt. Adam Shaw, chief of prevention, Coast Guard 17th District, retired at the Juneau, Alaska, Arts & Culture Center March 14, 2013.
Shaw’s retirement ceremony celebrated more than 25 years of service for the Coast Guard, including stations across the U.S. and as far away as the Netherlands.
Shaw was joined by his wife and three children, including his son, Coast Guard Academy Cadet Allen Shaw who read the traditional nautical poem, “The Watch.”
